Apple announces AirPods Pro with noise cancellation

Business Entertainment News Technology

Apple has just reportedly released AirPods Pro with noise reduction – not with the October product event, but via a press release. Premium earphones will be released on October 30 for $ 249. They will be available for pre-order today. And yes, they are still only white

In particular, AirPods Pro has the function of active noise reduction – this feature is especially popular in aircraft headphones such as the Bose 700 and Sony WH-1000XM3

Apple has integrated two microphones in each headset to listen to background noise and to actively cancel the sound around you. One of the microphones is directed inwards and listens to the sound in the ears. The company has also integrated an adaptive equalizer to tune the low and medium frequencies in real time, depending on the shape of the ears.

Apple has built-in microphones in AirPods Pro that detect external sound and then the headphones turn it off. The system used here sounds very similar to the noise reduction in the new Beats Solo Pro headphones, just miniaturized to a much smaller size. Apple claims that noise reduction is adjusted up to 200 times per second.

AirPods Pro has a transparency mode that lets you hear the environment while wearing them. The headphones have a “force sensor” with which you can control the music playing and activate the transparency mode.

The design of AirPods Pro is slightly different from AirPods. They look like earbuds with flexible silicone earbuds. You will be able to swap these tips because there are three different sizes in the box. AirPods Pro are also resistant to sweat and water.

Behind the scenes, AirPods Pro works with an Apple-designed system called H1. This chip supports everything from real-time noise cancellation to audio processing and the ability to respond to ‘Hey Siri’ requests.

Apple says you can expect the same battery life as you would with a regular AirPods – four and a half hours of listening time with active noise reduction and up to 24 hours of listening time in the charging case.

The company promises fantastic sound quality with AirPods Pro for the price of 249 USD. They have a function called “Adaptive EQ” that “automatically tunes the music to the shape of the ear.”

Unlike current AirPods, they will be equipped with flexible ear tips for a more secure and tight fit. The set includes three sizes of silicone tips. Apple even claims that there is an audio software test that can tell if you’ve picked the right tip by “measuring the level of sound in your ear and comparing it with what comes from the speaker driver.” This should reduce the number of guesses or customer confusion

The charging case also looks slightly different – it now has a rectangular shape. It has a Lightning port and wireless charging.

AirPods Pro will be available for $ 249 from October 30. You can order them on the Apple website today. Regular AirPods remain available for the same price from $ 159 to $ 199, depending on whether you receive a wireless charging case.

They still charge via the Lightning connector, but are now shipped with a Lightning to USB-C cable in a box.

Apple’s new AirPod headphones appear when noise reduction – a long-time convenience offered by Bose, Sony and other in-ear headphones – has begun to appear in truly wireless earbuds. Sony 1000x M3 headphones with noise reduction cost $ 229. And Amazon’s Echo Buds with Bose noise reduction technology (not fully erasing) will soon hit the shelves for $ 129.99. AirPods has seen a surge in popularity since their first release, so it’s safe to assume that Apple is about to hit other hands.
